Frizzo.
The international kitchen in the hearth of Rome.

Overview

Frizzo opens in november 2013. Its purpose is to bring in the centre of Rome the best of international food. In the offer, which develops and evolves following the global trends, and in the approach, spreading a gastronomic culture inspired by the most important european bistrots and restaurants. From the classy haute cuisine to the great american classics, without forgetting Italy, home of taste and creativity. The project was born, grown and matured under the supervision of Humus Design. From its name to common objects such as bottles and towels, it took almost one year to create the cosmopolitan atmosphere which now characterizes the restaurant.

Thinking

First of all, we started analyzing the international restaurant industry and gathering different styles and approaches. This allowed us to define a precise communication strategy, both verbal and graphic. The payoff “Where do you wanna go today?” represents Frizzo’s soul, dynamic and daring, and it prepares the ground to the development of a language that is ironic and above the lines. Talking about the design, all the instruments we developed clearly take inspiration from the latest industrial design trends.

Doing

After the development of a naming and a brand identity capable to diversify Frizzo from its local and national competitors, we focused on all the tools a restaurant needs at its opening: menu, clothes, takeaway packaging, table and wall decorations. We also designed an app which allows customers to send their order directly from the tablet. At the end, we developed also a multi language website and several social communication tools.
